It's not lag. There are dedicated servers for PC. It's the lag compensation. Basically, LC tries to even out any advantage people with better pings have. In MW3, if you were host, it would actually give you lag to make it more fair to the others that connected to you.

Just check the Steam forums or COD forums. Just about every thread is about lag compensation. If you're not getting compensated then you must have a pretty bad connection or a poor computer because EVERY single person I know that plays it on PC has given up because of how bad it is.

ANYTHING they add to the game is moot until they fix the lag compensation/lag problems. The game is unplayable for most people that realize(understand) that their bullets aren't hitting due to the LC. Just read the forums. The game is broken until they fix it and it doesn't matter what game modes they add because the game simply isn't fun when other people have a half second+ advantage on you and their bullets hit where they aim.

If they want to take the genre to a new level, try going back to the way ALL FPS's use to be with REAL dedicated servers without lag compensation. The PC is the only place I play FPS's because it has a mouse and keyboard. Consoles will never use them because it's awkward to use on a couch or chair and it would fracture the community.

It would be nice if they would allow a different control option for FPS's because, IMO, analogue sticks suck for FPS's. I don't know what the consoles were like but on the PC, Black Ops was fine in terms of network code. It was MW2 and MW3 that sucked ass with lag. Treyarch actually have the sense to keep dedicated servers as opposed to the retards at IW. IWNET can lick my balls after running a marathon in August.

Most PC games already allow for controllers and they use the Xbox360 controller as their default. If a game doesn't support controllers, it usually means the game is too hard to play with a one. ex. Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, etc.
